Tier 1 (Investor) Extension/
Settlement
The Tier 1 Investor Visa scheme is closed to new applicants but still allows extensions and settlement applications. This investment visa doesn’t require work and relies on holding a minimum investment in British companies. Visa initially for 3 years; settlement possible after five years for the £2 million route, 3 years for £5 million, or 2 years for £10 million (without an extension application).
Parent of Child at School Visa
The Parent of Child at School Visa allows a single parent of a child under 12, who is studying in the UK, to accompany and care for the child. This visa ends when the child turns twelve. The applicant must maintain their main home outside the UK, demonstrate adequate financial support for both themselves and the child, and intend to leave the UK upon visa expiration. This visa doesn’t involve English language, work, or study.
Private Life Visas
“Private Life” rules offer settlement for migrants in the UK unlawfully for various reasons. Children born in the UK can apply as dependants. The granted leave duration varies. Settlement is possible after five or ten years, and immediate settlement for children living in the UK for seven years. There are standard language requirements for settlement applications.
