This visa is for domestic workers such as cleaners, chauffeurs, cooks/chefs, carers, and nannies who are working for an employer outside the UK. Such domestic workers, if they have worked for their employer for at least one year, can accompany them to the UK for up to six months and work for them in the UK in their household. Applications are only possible from outside the UK and applicants must be aged at least nineteen at the time of application. This is one of the few working routes where dependants are not permitted.

There is no English language requirement.

The visa is not extendable beyond six months, and it does not offer a route to settlement.
